Encountering Jesus Christ
Clear, Merciful, and Correct Instruction is the love Jesus gave us.
Doctrine is unchangeable.
We need this spoken from our United States Synod.
Neither do I condemn you. Go and Sin no more.
-Jesus Christ
While the Second Vatican Council is positive and excellent,
Its incomplete implementation in the United States caused
many to grow up with a limited understanding of their Catholic Faith.
As a result many went astray and have been deeply hurt.
It is clear that in the West and Europe, this implementation caused decline and desertion.
Leadership, including priests, were (and are) often overly permissive or harsh.
Some literally taught the opposite of our Catholic Faith.
Some were the subject of scandal.
Clear instruction was difficult to find.
Nevertheless, many found it and now cling to it.
It seems now, many elders want to revisit the arguments of the seventies.
Given their seats of power, it is apparent that the Synthesis on Synodality addressed their notions of the Catholic faith, their arguments, which hurt us so much.
It is clear these did not help in Church growth, and it is clear what have.
We desire clear instruction, and take the call to follow it, which is real love.
Catholicism is not overly punitive nor overly permissive.
It does not idolize its past, nor does it condemn it.
Its doctrine does not evolve or change, and it answers the modern culture effectively.
We stand with the best of our past in the saints and Church Fathers, and we herald Jesus Christ’s fullness of Faith.
We embrace Vatican II, and all its consistency with every Church teaching before it.
We reject any change in Doctrine. We desire clear teaching of it.
